Liberation

( This post and this entire blog is a work of fiction for the ARG "world without oil." All characters, events, and predictions within are works of fiction, are for the purpose of the game, and in no way are to be considered real. )

Today is a proud day, a day that will be remembered as the day the people rose up together, united in voice, and said "NO" to the order as it was. Today all those who were illegally detained in the FEMA work camps have been freed.

As much as we wish we could be responsible for this, it was not one of ours, but an average citizen who took it apon himself to demolish the outer walls of the camp. We have yet to discover their name, but they drove a bulldozer with makeshift armor strait into the camp. Despite our declaration of cease-fire, we could not let this heroic act go without support. The Bennu who had the camp under observation contacted the rest of us, and we swarmed to the location to provide aid.

By the time we arrived, the bulldozer had already made it's way through both fences twice, providing direct access to the interior of the camp. Guards were surrounding the bulldozer, and the driver was obviously taking pains not to injure anyone, even those firing apon him. The prisoners were standing aound wondering what was going on, but once we charged in, they realized they were being freed, and charged the openings. It was at this point the guards opened fire on the crowd, and we felt justified to return hostilities.

A few elites, regardless of their weaponry, can never hope to stand against the combined might of the people. As of today, we are free. You still have your guns, you still have your walls and your money. You may have "reclaimed" Clayton, University city, and all the other mansion-dotted suburbs. You may have stabalized your oil supplies, food supplies, and passed new laws removing the last of our legal rights. It doesn't matter. The people now know.

We know that no matter what you say, you are simply waiting for the opportunity to place us in camps and turn us into serfs again.

We know that your power is based on violence, not public mandate or divine right.

We know that you have kept us addicted to the "products" and "services" you market, made by our own labor, so that we were kept working for you.

But, most importantly, we now know that we can get by, even thrive, without you. Your system cracked, and we got by without it. It's that which is most threatening, that knowledge which you will do your best to suppress because if it got out, you would be finished. We don't need to submit to your power to survive. We don't need to live like you tell us. We can live nad thrive without you. And we will.

This is the Bennu, from the St. louis Red Zone, speaking to the representatives of the corporate state. We're doing just fine without you, thanks. We've figured out how to provide for ourselves. We refuse to do your work anymore. If you wish to join us, you are welcome, otherwise, stay away. We don't need you, we don't want you, and we won't have you.

Goodbye.
